A (purl) bump in the road

1 May

Okay, my last short post about starting my sweater didn’t end up posting correctly. Bummer.

Well I was so mentally exhausted from focusing so much on knitting my moms sweater and the my cousins socks that I just walked away and started on my own grey Pima cotton very pink.com sweater. I ordered and received the knit picks “comfy sport” Pima cotton yarn in mid march and its just been sitting, collecting dust. After a few hiccups with casting on (namely, casting on on a 32″ cable and I had to go buy a 24″ cable. Then, it stretched my cast on row soooo fAr to knit in the round, that I frogged it again and started on 16″ cable this time. That did the trick), we are well on our way through all of the raglan increases.

While waiting to hit up my LYS I started on some funky placemats for our table for the summer. Well, like everything else lately, I frogged it all bc I didn’t like the pattern at all! I think I am going to start again just using a seed stitch. This color way is maybe a little too eclectic for my taste. It was in my cotton stash drawer, so I figured what the hell.
