So … finding a project that reflects the House of Manatee whether by color or style or my personal knitting style and document this process as I go.
Of course my project search starts at http://www.ravelry.com/. Because I don’t think “out of the box” or really in a creative way, I naturally typed in “Manatee” and hit search. My search continued with searching for “cozy” and that brought up some really cute little animals and of course tea pot/coffee cup/wine bottle cozies but nothing screamed “HEATHER, THIS IS FOR YOU!” Alas, I looked up my old faithful, dreamy, roomy sweaters. I love this one, this screams MANATEE! MANATEE! and HEATHER! HEATHER! Here is the ravelry link, but it is a Pickles design. God, I love me some pickles patterns (say that five times fast, lol).
Spent the morning, knitting so a HUGE!!!! thank you to HKNITS2013 (who, I might add, is also named Heather…. I hear Heather’s are pretty awesome) who helped me, very quickly figure out what my pattern means and what the hell I was doing wrong. **please see my previous post from this morning for my last, most recent, knitting freak out. you’re welcome.
I spent the afternoon with my favorite man, my little man Johnny. We went to the aquarium, last few days that I had available to use my annual pass. It expires at the end of April and I have a few days left also on my Philadelphia Zoo pass too. I hear they just opened their new kids park area (whatever its called)…they have goats walking in little airy tunnels above the park. I just hope they don’t pee on us…
‘Til tomorrow, folks, have a great day. -Heather
