Train, rain and scubbies

18 Apr

Spent the last two or three days avoiding knitting again. My mothers Mother’s Day sweater tank is wayyy too big. Like 8 inches too big. (insert choice curse words here). U have to frog the whole 13″ and start over. I decided however that I didn’t like way it looks to attach the sideways cable band and the stockinette stitch. I think it looks “homemade” in a bad way. I want my sweater to look as if she got it from a store.

So here I am, on the train to atlantic city to work for Guess and I brought along a little piece to knit. I am making a scrubber clog for my cast iron pans. The material feels like plastic over it acrylic or something. It reminds me of the edges of the shoelaces where it has that plastic so it doesn’t fray

sorry to hear about the sweater 😛 but you still have some time before Mother’s Day comes 🙂
sometimes when I want to gift something and it’s not yet ready/here, I take a picture of it and make it nice, like a gift card / voucher saying that the item is on its way and will be with the person soon… at least it shows that the thought and effort was there?

Yes great idea! I did manage to cast on for yet another cable sleeveless top. I found someone on ravelry used the same peach yarn so I quickly made a swatch. I have to use the next two needle sizes down but it will work! So, this will probably not be done in time. So I will use your awesome idea and use a picture instead. 🙂 -heather
